Breaking News...Bluefish Arrive at the local docks
Get the rods out and head down to the local docks.  Monster bluefish have arrived.
Bluefish have now invaded the bay!  (Patchogue Docks, Sandpit, Pine Neck, Sayville and Beyond) Yes thats right they are all over and everyone is catching. Fish are ranging in the 6-10 pound class with a few going around 12+pounds. These fish are hitting mainly bunker chunks and mackerel which we both carry down here at the shop as well as just about any sort of lure you want to throw. Get down there and hook up with one of these hard fighters for yourself.
This weeks weather has made it hard for anglers to get out. However, despite the nasty conditions, those who are getting out are still finding luck at the lakes. Trout are still feeding aggressively on baits such as nightcrawlers and lures like Kastmaster's will land a few
also. Panfish, such as Crappie and Bluegills, can also provide fun. Small spinners or curley tails on a small jig head will work good.

in the past week. More and more keeper sized stripers have been moving into our area. Most rivers and creeks are loaded with schools
of stripers anywhere from 20"- 35". They are feeding on peanut bunker. Back bay spots and bridges have also been active for stripers.
Hot lures of the week have been SP Minow, Bomber, or Red-Fin's. Bass assassins and fin-s fish have been working great too. If you are in search of some bigger sized fish then bait is the way to go. You cant beat a bunker or mackerel chunk fished on a fishfinder rig.
