Blues continue to be picked at the smiths point bridge. Still these fish remain at large with some whoppers topping the scales at 15 pounds. Topwater it the way to go. Besides, you can't beat a hungry bluefish exploding on a topwater plug. The inlets have seen their pick at bass in the mid teens. Bucktails and swim shads are still doing the damage. We should see an increase in the action as the approach the new moon in June. The fluke fishing had remained fairly quite recently from the surf. A couple of boarder line keepers were picked from the smiths point bay shoreline on bucktails with gulp.
